Pakistani nation united to foil conspiracies: Tahir Ashrafi FAISALABAD, Aug 9 (APP): Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) chairman Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi here on Tuesday said that some external forces were hatching conspiracies against the country but the nation was united to foil them. Addressing Istehkam-e-Pakistan conference organized under the aegis of Pakistan Ulema Council here, he said the morale of nation was high, and internal and external forces could not harm the country. He said that all segments of the society including PUC was standing with the government and armed forces for the elimination of terrorism from the country. “Our enemy wants to divide the nation by targeting different sects or groups but we are united for the defense of our boundaries,” he added. He further said that the government should tell the world that conspiracies being hatched against Pakistan by any country would not be tolerated at any cost. Ashrafi alleged that some big forces especially India was working to flop the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and destabilizing Pakistan. Earlier, he strongly condemned terrorist attack at Civil Hospital in Quetta. He expressed sympathies with the families of lawyers and other martyred in Quetta carnage. He demanded the government to arrest the culprits involved in the brutal attack and award them exemplary punishment. Later, Dua was offered for the departed souls of martyrs and early recovery of injured persons. Pakistan Ulema Council’s central general secretary Sahibzada Zahid Mahmood Qasmi, Moulana Shabbir Ahmed Usmani, Moulana Saadullah, Moulana Anees ur Rehman, Hafiz Abdul Hayye, Mufti Abdul Moeed, Hafiz Muhammad Amjad and others also addressed the conference.
