ISLAMABAD, Dec 23 (APP): Federal Minister for Trade and Commerce Khurram Dastagir on Wednesday apprised the Senate that Pakistan had obtained positive results for its farmers and agriculture sector at ministerial meeting of the World Trade Organization (WTO) held in Kenya.
These results were achieved due to vigilant presence, vigorous participation and clear articulation by the Pakistani delegation, he added.
The minister said developing countries had agreed to immediately remove export subsidies.
The decisions taken at the ministerial meeting had provided a level playing field to Pakistan increasing prospects for its agriculture exports.
He said that Pakistan had successfully defended efforts of some developing countries to harm its trade and agriculture exports.
