ISLAMABAD, Apr 28 (APP): The United States has removed
Pakistan from its ‘Priority Watch List’ recognizing the
Government of Pakistan’s efforts for improvement of Intellectual Property Rights in the country.

According to a press release from the US embassy here,
the United States recognized Pakistan’s positive progress on IPR in the annual Special 301 Report on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in which the country has moved from the Special 301 “Priority Watch List” to “Watch List with an Out of Cycle Review”.

It said that this progress was largely due to Pakistan’s
efforts to improve intellectual property protection and
enforcement including implementing key provisions of the
Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan Act of 2012.
