Pakistan condoles loss of lives in capsizing of a ferry in Iraq


ISLAMABAD, Mar 23 (APP):The Foreign Office on Saturday expressed condolences over the loss of lives due to capsizing of a ferry in Tigris River, Mosul, Iraq.
According to a Foreign Office statement issued here, the government and people of Pakistan were grieved on the tragic loss of precious lives, including women and children, in the unfortunate capsizing of a ferry in Tigris River, near Mosul, Iraq at the start of Nouruz celebrations.
The statement said, “We join the bereaved families, people and government of Iraq in this hour of sorrow and grief. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. May Almighty Allah bless the departed souls with highest places in Jannah and grant strength and fortitude to their families to bear this irreparable loss.”
