Humanitarian services help combat poverty in society : Barrister Abid Wahid

PESHAWAR May 30 (APP): Managing Director, Pakistan Baitul Mall (PBM), Barrister Abid Waheed Shaikh Monday said that entire nation was praying for early recovery of the Prime Minister, Muhammed Nawaz Sharif.

Addressing the inaugural session of National Centre for Child Labour and Orphans at tehsil Jamrud of Khyber Agency, the MD said tha Prime Minister if had established Pakistan Baitul Mall for financial assistance of poor and needy people in 1992 and a large number of people were benefited from it.

He said as per direction of the Prime Minister, special focus was being given in provision of financial assistance to poor, orphans and needy people of the country including KP and Fata to stand them on their own feet.

He said Pakistan Baitul Mall was utilizing all available resources to equip orphan and child labourers with ornament of education, adding education could prevent them from indulging in unnecessary activities.

Waheed Sheikh said children were our future and no nation could make progress unless equipping them with ornament of education.

He stressed the need for providing all basic facilities of life to
tribal people besides bring them into national mainstream.
The MD said “we need to work hard with collective instead of individual thinking for development of the country”.

He distributed assistance cheques among 50 needy tribal people of Khyber Agency.

On this occasion, Maulana Sher Muhamamd offered special dua for early recovery of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

MNA Shah Gee Gul Afridi, Senator Taj Muhammad Afridi, Director PBM Syed Abul Qasim Gilani and Assistant Political Agent Jamrud Saiful Islam were present on the occasion.

The MNA announced installation of solar system and provision of computers for the said school.
