Pak Judokas to participate in Grand Slam

ISLAMABAD, Nov 4 (APP): Pakistan Judo team will be participating in the Grand Slam scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan from December 2 to 5.
Talking to APP, Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) vice president Masood Ahmed said the final players for the mega event will be finalized from judokas including Shah Hussain Shah, Wajahat Sarwar, Karamat Butt, Imtiaz Khan, Qaiser Khan, Nadeem Akram, Javed Khan and Ifthikar.
“A total of five to six judokas will be finalized for the mega event,” he said.
He said the camp for the mega event is underway here at the Pakistan Sports Complex. “The players are being trained by coaches Jamil Khokar and Zafar Iqbal,” he said.
He said the team will likely depart on November 30 to participate in the grand slam.
