ISLAMABAD, Jan 2 (APP):Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage (NH&LH), Irfan Siddiqui Tuesday said China and Pakistan are bringing their historical relation and friendship to the new heights at regional and international level through enhancing cooperation in the fields of arts, culture and literature.
“Joint ventures in the fields of arts, culture and literature will strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and China and help bring people of both the countries closer, Irfan Siddiqui said during a meeting with Cultural Counselor of Chinese Embassy in Pakistan and Director Cultural Center, Mr. You Yi at his office.
Irfan Siddiqui extended warm wishes on the occasion of New Year to the leadership of China and its people and said the agreement between the two countries for promotion of museums and cultural heritage is indeed a good development and will open more avenues of cooperation in the fields of fine arts and literature.
Irfan Siddiqui emphasized that Pakistan and China must work together for mutual translation of each other’s literature which will foster people to people contacts.
Speaking on the occasion, Chinese Cultural Counselor, Mr. You Yi said, “We are eagerly waiting for Advisor to Prime Minister, Irfan Siddiqui’s visit to Beijing, China where agreement between two countries for cooperation in museums and cultural heritage will be finalized”.
He said Chinese experts, under the said agreement, will provide technical support for establishment of National Museum of Pakistan in federal capital.
The meeting was also attended by Joint Secretary, NH&LH Division, Syed Junaid Akhlaq and other officials of Chinese Embassy.
