LAHORE, Sept 6 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday, in a special message on the Defense Day, said that Pakistan Army wrote a new history of courage and bravery in 1965 war and foiled the evil designs of the enemy.

He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had made the defense of the country invincible by conducting nuclear tests and making Pakistan an atomic power.

He said that officers and Jawans of Pakistan Army were setting examples of courage and valour in the war against terrorism. He said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorism had yielded positive results and broken the back of terrorists.

The Chief Minister said that Pakistani nation was united in the war against terrorism and this menace would be rooted out to make Pakistan a haven of peace.

Shehbaz Sharif said that Muslim League-N government which made Pakistan a nuclear power in 1998 would now strengthen economy of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He said that there was a need to revive the same spirit of unity and harmony that was displayed by the nation in September War.

He said that people should resolve on this occasion that no efforts would be spared for the stability and progress of the country.
