LAHORE, Oct 20 (APP): Pakistan Army’s soldiers exhibited undying spirit and stamina to win the sit-ups competition in style, sweeping the first three places in the First International PACES Competition at Ayub Stadium here on Thursday.

On Thursday, the home soldiers outshone their respective opponents with an astute display of agility and superior technique and won the event in an impressive manner.
On the third day of the event the sit-ups competition was contested by 325 athletes, belonging to Army teams of 14 countries.
The participating athletes were divided into six groups and each of them joined a rigorous display of resolution and endurance during the 30 minutes time allotted.
Nevertheless, the Pakistan Army soldiers outpaced them winning all three positions. Sabir Hussain completed 2,076 sit-ups in the allotted time to grab the first position. Sepoy Mohammed Faisal completed 2,061 and Mohammed Niaz with 2,034 sit-ups got the second and third positions, respectively.
