LAHORE, Nov 08 (APP): Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif presiding over a meeting on Tuesday, reviewed pace of progress of ongoing development programmes for welfare of the people of the province.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister said that under Annual
Development Programme, various public welfare schemes were being forwarded successfully throughout the province.
He said that a large number of people were benefiting from welfare
programmes of billions of rupees. He said that more than 150,000 talented girls and boys of resource-less families were studying through Punjab Educational Endowment Fund (PEEF).
Free quality education facilities had been made available to the children of the poor families through Daanish School System, he added.
Shehbaz Sharif said that a number of projects had been completed for
providing quality health facilities to the people. He said that resources were a trust of the nation and were being spent transparently on providing best facilities to the masses. He said that interest free loans of billions of rupees had been provided to the youth so far under
self-employment scheme.
He said that improving living standard of the people of the province was
their mission and mega projects had been completed for the progress of the province under a development strategy.
The process of provision of best facilities to the people would be continued in future as well, he added.
Provincial Ministers Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Ch. Muhammad Shafique, Chief Secretary, Chairman Planning & Development and concerned officials were present on the occasion.
