ISLAMABAD, Sept 2 (APP): Spokesman to the Prime Minister Dr Musadik Malik on Friday said operation against terrorists is
reaching its logical ending as the government and our forces are determined to weed out terrorism from country.
Speaking in a private news channel program, he said,
terrorists hideouts and strongholds have been dismantled, they are on the run and trying to prove their existence by attacking soft targets and public places.
He said since the terrorist organizations have been
shattered by operation Zarb e Azb and now they making desperate attempts to create panic by attacking innocent people.
“Our people and forces have rendered unprecedented sacrifices in war against terrorism and we are determined to root out this menace and fight till last terrorist is eliminated.”
Answering a question on Panama papers, he said political
polarization has reached an extent that even after efforts of
months consensus ToR could not be framed. “The law should be such a law that applies to everybody involved in corruption. But, it should not be one person specific law.”
He said the government has now presented a bill to National
Assembly for enacting a comprehensive law to investigate
corruption cases. “Let us get this law passed unanimously and start investigations on Panama papers and other corruption cases.”
He said if the law will not be passed by both the houses
individually then a joint sitting of the Parliament will have to
be summoned. “We are seriously moving forward as we do not want to enter the election year without settling the Panama papers issue.”
He called upon the opposition parties to cooperate in
framing an appropriate law instead of mud slinging on one another.
