ISLAMABAD, Mar 7 (APP):Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chudhary Wednesday said nothing has proved against former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his family despite the passage of six months as mandated by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Talking to media persons, he said the references against Nawaz Sharif and family were filed on September 8, 2017. The six months has completed on March 7, 2018 but the Accountability Court has proved nothing against the family of former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
He said now the NAB has demanded two more months and preparing to file supplementary references against Nawaz and family as the existing references are too weak to prove him guilty.
He said Nawaz Sharif is the only former premier, who had persistently been attending the court proceedings. He had already been convicted by the apex court on weak grounds of ‘Iqama’. The opponents of Nawaz Sharif on failure to compete him in political arena were hatching conspiracies to oust him from the politics.
Nawaz Sharif has become the symbol of country’s sovereignty. No premier from out of 18 premiers of the country have been allowed to complete their term. PTI chief committed fraud by presenting forged documents of his Bani Gala house.
