Govt trying to ensure smooth gas supply to domestic consumers in winter: Khaqan

ISLAMABAD, Sept 5 (APP): Minister for Petroleum and Natural  Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Monday informed the National Assembly  that none of the top government officials were removed from Board of Directors (BoD) of Interstate Gas Systems (Pvt.) Limited rather two
members had completed their three-year term.

Responding to a calling attention notice raised by Syed Naveed  Qamar and others regarding removal of top government officials from  the BoD of Interstate Gas System (Pvt) Limited, the minister said  one of board member Zubair Lodhi had already tendered his resignation  but he was asked to continue till completion of three-year term.

He said another member Shahzad Ali Khan started levelling false allegation when his term was not extended for next three years.

The minister said Shahzad Ali Khan attended 36 meetings of the BoD and had never raised any objection.
