ISLAMABAD, Aug 4 (APP): Minister of State for Federal
Education Muhammad Baligh ur Rahman on Thursday said the news being circulated in a section of media about not teaching of some words, ‘Ayyahs’ or ‘Surahs’ of the Holy Quran at educational curriculum were totally baseless.

The news about non-inclusion of some ‘Ayyahs / Surahs’ in the translation of the Quran were baseless, deceptive, misleading, and condemnable, he said in a statement here.

The minister said the complete translation of the Holy Quran
would be taught from Class 6 to 12.

He said ‘Makki Surahs’ which include Waqqeyat (incidents),
would be taught in the first five years (from class 6 to 10)
and ‘Madni Surahs’ having Ahkamaat in the last two years (from class 11 to 12).

He said the syllabuses of these classes had been divided into
seven phases, five of which had been completed.
