Nepalese prime minister to visit China from June 19 to 24


BEIJING, Jun 13 (APP):Nepalese Prime Minister K.P Sharma Oli will pay an official visit to China from June 19 to 24, Chinese foreign ministry’s spokesperson announced here on Wednesday.
“At the invitation of Premier Li Keqiang of the State Council, Nepalese Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli will pay an official visit to China from June 19 to 24,” Geng Shuang said during his regular briefing held here.
He said the Chinese leaders such as President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang will meet with Prime Minister Oli during his visit to China.
The spokesperson said, China and Nepal are all generations of friendly and cooperative partners and the relations between the two countries have always maintained a good momentum of development.
“The two sides support each other on issues concerning their mutual interests and the mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields has developed rapidly,” he added.
Gen Shuang said this visit is Nepal’s prime minister first visit to China after the completion of the political transformation, and added, this provides an important opportunity for the leaders of the two countries to further plan and lead the development of China-Nepal relations under the new situation.
He said the Chinese side looks forward to receiving the Nepalese prime minister’s visit to China as an opportunity to deepen China-Nepal cooperation in the “Belt and Road” framework, strengthen cooperation in politics, economy and trade, infrastructure, post-disaster reconstruction and humanities, and push bilateral relations to a new level.
