Pakistan needs to have stronger defence ties with China: Masood

ISLAMABAD, Nov 1 (APP): Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) Managing Director Masood Malik Tuesday said the nation took a  sigh of relief as Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) called off its sit-in plan.

The routine life of thousands of people of Islamabad was badly affected while the country suffered economically  due to uncertain situation created by the PTI, he said while speaking in a PTV programme.

He said being head of a political party, Imran Khan should do positive politics as it was not a game or playground.

Masood Malik said if Imran Khan believed in democracy then he should adopt legal ways for playing his role in politics  instead of induldging in unlawful acts, including attack on institutions.

If Imran Khan wished to come into power, he would have to get people’s mandate, he added.

He said there was a need to show unity as the country was  fighting war against terrorism, but the PTI intead was promoting politics of chaos and unrest.

The APP MD said ultimately the PTI had accepted the importance of institutions. The Panama Papers issue would now be resolved in the courts as the party had got nothing from agitation, he added.

He said being the chief executive of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervaiz Khattak should realize his responsibilities. His  aggressive statements against the federal government were  condemnable, he added.
