Mohsin appriciates PAL’s role for educating youth

Pakistan to continue extending moral, political, diplomatic support to Kashmiris: Ranjha

ISLAMABAD, Sept 2 (APP): Secretary National Heritage and
Literary Heritage, Mohsin H. Haqqani Friday appreciated the role of Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) and unprecedented contribution of writers, poets and teachers for engaging youth in educational and training workshops.

In the concluding ceremony of series of workshop arranged by academy here at Pakistan Academy of Letters, he said poets, teachers and writers played an important role in creating awareness among youth and children.

Mohsin said, “One should write his thoughts, youth/children
who write creatively will be able to broaden their thought process and think of the world in a different and unique way from their peers. One can have benefits of creative writing in my own life.”

“We are a civilized nation and should promote education and
educational activities to change the future of our country” he added.

The chairman PAL Dr. Qasim Bhogio said while addressing the guest and participants of the workshops, “These workshops were specially designed on the directives of Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Heritage and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui to engage the youth and children in educational activities to promote reading habit.”

“In these workshop senior teachers, writers, scholars and
poet gave training to emerging writers, they designed interesting exercises for students.” He added.

Conductors of the workshops M. Hameed Shahid, Ahsan Akber and Dr. Iftikhar Khokhar also attended the event.

In the end chief guest distributed certificates among the
participants of the workshops.

A large number of distinguished guest also attended the event.
