Mushahid, Shezra ask US to respond to present situation in Occupied Kashmir

LAHORE, Sept 29 (APP): Pakistan-China Institute Chairman Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed Thursday said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will benefit the whole Asia and least-developed areas of the country would also reap its benefits.

Talking to APP, he said the CPEC would boost the national economy as the project envisaged power generation, infrastructure development, modernisation of industry and integration of regional economies.

Mushahid Hussain said special economic zones, industrial parks and oil pipelines would create tremendous employment opportunities for the people across the country.

To a question, he said China had always played a very positive role in maintaining peace, security and stability in the region and beyond.

“The people of Pakistan are major stakeholders in this gigantic project and no one could stop this project of national importance,” he said.

He said the CPEC was not only a pilot project and a game changer but also a pillar of economic growth for Pakistan.

Mushahid Hussain said the CPEC would strengthen regional connectivity through road, rail and pipeline networks.
