Journalists from UAE call on Sindh Governor

KARACHI, Sep 07 (APP):A delegation of senior journalists working in editorial positions for different dailies and publications from
United Arab Emirate (UAE) called on Sindh Governor, Imran Ismail
here on Friday.
Associate Editor of Gulf News, Jamana Al Tamimi, Editor of Al
Bayan, Mustafa Ahmed Khalifa Abu Zaid and David Francis, a senior
reporter working for Khaleej Times discussed with the Governor issues
related to investment in the province and its capital Karachi.
During the meeting held in Governor House, Imran Ismail said
journalists are a strong and efficient linkage between masses and
governments as issues highlighted by them often provided needed
impetus for matters related to public well-being.
“This is besides the fact that it also helps the latter to get
solved difficulties by the masses in general and stakeholders in
particular,” said the Sindh Governor.
With regard to relationship between Pakistan and UAE, he said
these spread over decades have led to a strong congeniality that can
always be further streamlined by professionals as journalists.
Sindh Governor on the occasion referred to investments made by
the UAE based companies and individuals in Karachi as well as other
parts of Sindh.
“There exist significant room for further investments and the
provincial as well as federal governments are open to facilitate the
investors in best possible manner,” he said.
