Int’l moot ends with call for high priority to ‘patient safety’

ISLAMABAD, May 08 (APP): The first two-day international conference themed “Patient Safety -Right or Privilege” concluded Sunday stressing establishing patients’ advisory groups (PAG) at national and provincial levels for ensuring patients safety.
The conference, which was organised by Riphah International University, adopted the Islamabad Declaration calling for
giving high priority to the “Patient Safety”, said a press release.
The declaration also called upon the federal government to enhance spending in the health sector to at least 3 per cent of the
gross domestic product (GDP).
