Int’l congress on ‘Islamic History, Cultural Heritage of Kashmir’ on April 4

ISLAMABAD, Mar 26 (APP):National History and Literary Heritage (NH&LH) Division would organize a two-day international congress on “Islamic History, Culture and Heritage of Kashmir” here from April 4.

The division would organize the congress in collaboration with Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA) and Government of Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) with the aim to raise awareness about the Kashmir cultural diversity.

The event would be attended by international fame scholars from Pakistan and abroad. This will be a unique congress, which will highlight the culture and heritage of Kashmir.

National History and Literary Heritage Division officials told APP that the basic purpose of the congress was to promote awareness and scholarships on the history and cultural heritage of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

“It will also help increase awareness of this heritage and sensitize world opinion on the need of its preservation,” he added.

Experts and scholars from the OIC member states having worked on the history and heritage of Kashmir and international scholars and experts will participate in two-day congress.
