ISLAMABAD, Oct 30 (APP): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Asif Kirmani Sunday alleged that both PTI chief Imran Khan and Indian Prime Minister  Narendra Modi had the same agenda to destabilize Pakistan.

India was attacking the country’s border while Imran Khan  was planning to ‘attack’ its capital as the two were against a developed, prosperous and stable Pakistan, he said talking to  PTV.

He said holding peaceful protest was the right of everyone but the government would not allow them to violate law and  create anarchy in the country.

Kirmani alleged that Imran Khan had been using derogatory  language against rival political leadership and the judiciary.

He should give respect and show trust in the national  institutions, he added.

To a question, he said those who were demanding accountability of others should first present themselves for accountability for their misdeeds.

He said recovery of illegal weapons from the vehicle of  PTI’s provincial minister Ali Amin Gandapur was alarming.

Replying to a question, he said the people had rejected the politics of PTI as evident from the party’s defeat in by-polls and local government elections.

He said Imran Khan was well aware of his diminishing popularity due to his wrong policies and looming defeat in 2018 general election.

Commenting on the Panama Papers issue, he said the government was determined from the day one of its revelation to probe the matter as Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had addressed the nation and presented himself for accountability, he added.

The Panama Papers issue was sub judice and the government would accept the decision of apex court, he said.
