Govt wants to provide relief to masses: Firdous


ISLAMABAD, Apr 20 (APP):Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government wanted to provide relief to the masses.
Talking to a private news channel, she said the government was taking concrete steps to strengthen the national economy.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, she said, had zero tolerance for corruption while he strongly believed in merit and supremacy of law in the country. Only those people would remain in his cabinet who would perform his work efficiently.
The prime minister would not give importance of personal relations against national interest and he selected the people according to his vision, she added.
Replying to a question, she said she was in Canada when she was asked by the prime minister to take the responsibility. It was the prime minister’s prerogative to change his cabin et members, she added.
