ISLAMABAD, June 3 (APP): The federal government was committed to developing and implementing policies and measures to enhance the socio economic empowerment of women.
In a budget speech in the National Assembly, Minister for
Finance, Revenue, Economic Affairs, Statistics and Privatization, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar said that budget allocation are one of the major instruments to strengthen women empowerment and in this regard the government has also introduced a reform agenda.
He said that the government has started the implementation of gender responsive budgeting at the federal level.
In this activity, the provincial governments will be invited to be part of this reforms, which after the 18th Constitutional amendment are responsible for those functions where women have more opportunities like education and health.
