MULTAN, March 15 (APP)::Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi said here Friday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government was striving to put the country on way to progress and prosperity.
He expressed these views at a ceremony organized in his honor by Suleman Luthar here.
He said the government was leaving no stone unturned in serving masses.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said foreign policy was being devised in accordance with aspirations of the people and keeping the country’s interests supreme.
He said the foreign policy was meant to raise the respect of the country across the globe.
He said masses had mandated the PTI in general election 2018 and added that the government would come up to the expectations of the people.
He said both the political parties including Pakistan Muslim League-N and PPP had looted the country’s resources and now raising hue and cry upon facing accountability.
The foreign minister said the government had offered better health treatment facilities to former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, adding PML-N was doing politics on Nawaz Sharif’s health.
He said the PPP was in power in Sindh for the last many years and everyone knew about circumstances of Karachi. He said there was no one to lift waste from Karachi.
Qureshi said Karachi was the backbone for country’s economy and the government would restore its lights back by maintaining peace over there.
He said the country would witness progress when there would be peace in Karachi.
The foreign minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan had paid visit to Thar and announced to provide health cards, pure drinking water and solar system to facilitate people there.
He said the PTI would come into power again in 2023 general election due to its people friendly policies.
Shah Mahmood said they would always remember the respect given by the people of NA-156 and NA-157 constituencies to him and his son Zain Qureshi.
He asked Zain Qureshi and Provincial Minister for Energy Dr Akhtar Malik to utilize all their energies for serving people.
PTI divisional president Ijaz Hussain Jangua, Khalid Javed Warraich, Mian Jameel Ahmed and scores of PTI workers were present.
