Girls College Matra stun SBBWU team by eight wickets in Girls Inter-College Cricket

PESHAWAR, Dec 17 (APP): Govt Girls Degree College Matra Peshawar stunned Shaheed Benagir Bhutto Women University team by eight wickets in the ongoing Girls Inter-College Cricket Championship being played under the aegis of the Directorate of Sports Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University here at its premises on Saturday.
Shaheed Banazir Bhutto Women University skipper Fakiya Khan won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up a meager runs total of 24 runs all out after playing 9.7 overs. No batter crossed the double figures with Shuhrat, Eshrat and Toba took three wickets each, giving no chance to SBBWU players to strike back.
In reply, Govt Girls Degree College Matra chased the target for the loss of two wickets and thus won the match by eight wickets. Govt Girls Degree College Matra also lost two wickets for no runs in the second overs when Shabnum got two wickets in her first over. Sara and Shuhrat scored 12 and 10 runs respectively and thus Matra won the match by eight wickets.
In the second match, Govt Girls Degree College Jamrud eliminated Govt Girls Degree College Shabqadar, District Charsadda by 11 runs. Govt Girls Degree College Jamrud won the toss and elected to field first by setting up 91 runs target. Maryum scored 23 runs, Asma and Hafsa scored 21 and 18 runs respectively. For Shabqadar Wala Dil, Maliaka and Aiman took two wickets each while Kiran and Sakira got one wicket.
In reply, Govt Girls Degree College Shabqadar bowled out for 80 runs with Wafa Dil scored 30 runs, Sadia and Kiran made 19 and 17 runs respectively. For Jamrud College Zainab and Hafza took three wickets each while Maryum got one wicket and thus Jamrud Girls College won the match by 11 runs.
