PESHAWAR, Sept 12 (APP): Four policemen were injured in an IED blast near a police van at Bari Kot area, Mingora, District Swat on Monday.

According to police, the van was on a routine patrolling and
when it reached near the Bari Kot, mountainous area of Karakar, the IED planted on a road side went off.

As a result of the blast four policemen, who were on board
the van, got injured. The van was damaged, however, the policemen were slightly injured, Police control Swat said.

Soon after the incident, the local people and officials of
the security forces reached on the spot and shifted injured
policemen to the Saidu Sharif Hospital for medical treatment.

The police mobile was completely destroyed in the bomb
blast, police said.

It also confirmed that the explosion occurred through a
remote control device.
