Five private member bills introduced in NA

ISLAMABAD, Dec 8 (APP): As many as five private member bills were introduced in the National Assembly on Tuesday while five others bills were deferred due to non-presence of the members.
Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javeed Abbasi referred the bills to the concerned standing committees for deliberation after not opposing by the treasury benches.The bills which introduced included the Right to free and Compulsory Physical Education and Training Bill, 2015, the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Bill 2015, the Right to Compulsory Education and Training in the field of Information Technology Bill, 2015, the Pakistan Army (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015 and the National Commission for Minority Education Bill, 2015.

The bills were piloted by Farhana Qamar, Dr Ibadullah, Ms Shahida Akhtar Ali and Romina Khurshid Alam in the House.Shahida Akhtar Ali sought amendment in section 2, in sub-section (1), in paragraph (d), in sub-paragraph (iii) after the world organization, the words using the name of religion or a sect, shall be omitted.

She was of the views that using the name of religion or a sect conveys a wrong sense of discrimination.Meanwhile, Chairman Standing Committee on Rules of Procedure and Privilege presented three reports in the House.
