Federal Areas wins Pakistan Cricket Cup 2018

FAISALABAD, May 06 (APP):Federal Areas team has won the one-day Pakistan Cricket Cup 2018 by defeating Khyber Pakhtoon Khawa with 6 wickets at Iqbal Stadium here Sunday.
The final match was played between Federal Areas and KPK teams. Winning toss, Federal Areas team invited KPK team for bat and the KPK team scored 252 runs in 50 overs.
Hafeez of KPK scored 89 runs while Shan Masood scored 52 runs, Manzoor 32, Asrar Ullah 26 and Adil Ameen 22 runs.
Usman Khan Shanwari of Federal Areas got 3 wickets and Hussain Tallat 2 wickets whereas Waqas Masood, Umaid Asif and Raza Hussain got one wicket each.
Chasing the target, Federal Areas team scored 254 runs in 41 overs with a loss of five wickets. Salman Khan scored 60 runs, Kamran Akmal 38, Raza Ali Dar 49 and Saad Naseem 51 runs whereas Usman Shanwari was declared man of the match.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Salman Ghani witnessed the final event as chief guest and later he distributed prizes among the position holders.
Khurram Manzoor was declared best batsmen of the cricket up as he scored 393 runs in the tournament whereas Waqas Masood best bowler with 14 wickets and Muhammad Nawaz was declared best all rounder as he scored 121 runs and got 9 wickets in the event.
