ISLAMABAD, Feb 6 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Friday expressed his profound grief over the demise of the Washington-based veteran journalist Khalid Hasan. Khalid Hasan died of prostate cancer in a Washington hospital.

The prime minister in a condolence message paid rich tributes to late Khalid Hassan for his contribution to journalism and raising the professional standards.

Gilani said Khalid Hassan was a prolific writer and widely respected by all his readers as he treated his profession with a passion.

He said with the loss of Khalid Hassan the country has lost a great journalist.

The prime minister prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.
