Governor Owias Ahmed Ghani has said, we as a nation are successfully meeting the
challenges facing us and we can only surmount them if we follow Allah’s Will in
true spirit in our individual as well as collectives lives.Be ready to sacrifice
to help our fellow beings in hour of need, maintain complete unity in our rank
and file and above all never hesitate to offer any sacrifice for security,
solidarity and unity of our beloved country; the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
This he has stated in a message
of felicitation on the eve of Eid-Ul-Azha. The complete text of the message is
given below:
“Eid-ul-Azha is commemorated as
a religious festival to mark the sublime sacrifice of the Holy prophets Hazrat
Ibrahim (A.S.) and his great son Hazrat Ismail (A.S.); when they submitted
before the Will of Allah Almighty.
Their Great Sacrifice which was
converted to the symbolic sacrifice of a lamb by the mercy of Allah
Rehman-ul-Rahim carries a message of great significance for all Muslims and
which needs to be understood in its true spirit.
Sacrificing animals on Eidul
Azha symbolizes the believers submission to the Will of Allah Almighty and
destiny as ordained by Allah. The sacrifice demonstrates the firmness of the
true faith in the message of Allah Almighty and the festivity symbolizes the
brotherhood of all believers. One such example has been set by our great people
in the recent past, when they had opened their doors for millions of internally
dislocated persons, especially of Malakand Division inspite of their meager
means. Our National history is replete with many such examples of sacrifice and
care for humanity. This sacred Day, in fact, provides us the opportunity to
re-affirm our commitment to follow the Devine message; refresh our Faith;
practically adhere to it in our daily life and be ready to sacrifice for others
in line with the same spirit.
I take this opportunity to
extend Eid greetings to all countrymen in general and the people of NWFP and
FATA in particular on this auspicious occasion. I must also remind them that
the hour of trial is not over yet. We as a nation, are successfully meeting the
challenges, facing us and we can only surmount them if we follow Allah’s Will in
true spirit in our individual as well as collectives lives; be ready to
sacrifice to help our fellow beings in hour of need, maintain complete unity in
our rank and file and above all never hesitate to offer any sacrifice for
security, solidarity and unity of our beloved country; the Islamic Republic of
Pakistan. May Allah Almighty watch over all of us and bless us with the Mercy
and Compassion.”
