ISLAMABAD, Nov 18 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has sent a message of greetings to Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said, Sultan of Oman, on their national day falling on November 18. In his message, the Prime Minister said “on behalf of people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and on my own behalf, I wish to extend to Your Majesty and brotherly people of the Sultanate of Oman, our warm and profound felicitations and best wishes on the auspicious occasion of 39th national day of the Sultanate of Oman”.
“During the last 39 years, your
sagacity and wisdom has helped the Sultanate develop into a prosperous
country and bringing peace and progress for the people of Oman. This
is a cause of great satisfaction and happiness of Pakistan as a close
neighbour and brotherly country”, he added.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan and Sultanate of Oman enjoy close,
cooperative and fraternal relations based on strong foundations of
common faith and identify as well as shared values and aspirations.
“Both countries have supported each other on regional and international
issues of mutual concern. Under your wise and able leadership the
bilateral relations between Pakistan and Oman have gained strength and
substance to the mutual advantage of our two peoples”, he added.
The Prime Minister in his message also prayed to Allah Almighty for His
Majesty’s health, happiness and long life and for continued progress,
prosperity and well being of the brotherly people of the Sultanate of
Oman.
