China set to become 4th biggest trade partner of Pakistan: MOFCOM official -
BEIJING, Feb 9 (APP): China is becoming the 4th biggest trade partner of Pakistan, said here a senior Chinese official from Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM).Addressing the Pakistan-China Trade Promotion Seminar at Pakistan Embassy, Ouyang Cheng of Department of International Trade and Economic Affairs of Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said both sides enhanced exports after the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
UK Border Agency accept AJK marriage certificates -
LONDON, Feb 09 (APP)- The UK Border Agency has communicated to Lord Nazir Ahmed, a member of the British Upper House, that it accepts Nikah Khawani certificates from Azad Kashmir as a proof of valid marriage.“I am able to inform you that following legal advice, Nikah Khawani certificates from AJK are now accepted as proof of a valid marriage by our UK Visa Section which processes settlement applications from Pakistan. Nikah Khawanis from any other region of Pakistan are not accepted and a Nikah Nama is still required in such cases,”

Issues settled with MQM, says Rehman Malik
ISLAMABAD, Nov 6 (APP): Minister for Interior Rehman Malik has said that the differences with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan Peoples Party’s ruling ally in center and Sindh province, have been settled.Malik who along with President Asif Ali Zardari’s close aide, Dr Asim Hussain, held talks with a delegation of MQM in Dubai on Friday, told ARY NEWS on telephone that the bilateral negotiations concluded successfully with most of the issues resolved.
“Few differences that were left
would soon be settled as the two parties have agreed in principle to
continue consultations in future for resolution of all outstanding
disputes,” he said.
“Differences may occurred in democracy and should be resolved through
negotiations. MQM is our ally in the government and would remain with
us,”
Malik told the channel.
He said both coalition partners have agreed to form two core committees
to help resolve matters through discussions and move forward for
strengthening of the coalition and sustainability of political system.
To a question Malik said that there were differences on empowering
local government.While some matters pertaining to WAPDA also came under discussion.
