China set to become 4th biggest trade partner of Pakistan: MOFCOM official -
BEIJING, Feb 9 (APP): China is becoming the 4th biggest trade partner of Pakistan, said here a senior Chinese official from Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM).Addressing the Pakistan-China Trade Promotion Seminar at Pakistan Embassy, Ouyang Cheng of Department of International Trade and Economic Affairs of Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said both sides enhanced exports after the signing of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
UK Border Agency accept AJK marriage certificates -
LONDON, Feb 09 (APP)- The UK Border Agency has communicated to Lord Nazir Ahmed, a member of the British Upper House, that it accepts Nikah Khawani certificates from Azad Kashmir as a proof of valid marriage.“I am able to inform you that following legal advice, Nikah Khawani certificates from AJK are now accepted as proof of a valid marriage by our UK Visa Section which processes settlement applications from Pakistan. Nikah Khawanis from any other region of Pakistan are not accepted and a Nikah Nama is still required in such cases,”

Detention of Hurriyet leaders in IHK denounced
ISLAMABAD, Nov 5 (APP): The pro-freedom parties in occupied Kashmir have denounced the illegal detention of veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani and other Hurriyet leaders and activists.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the spokesman of Jamaat-e-Islami
(JI) Jammu and Kashmir, in a statement issued in Srinagar, termed the
detention of Hurriyet leaders including Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai as
political vendetta. “Use of brute force against peaceful protestors and
curbs on public gatherings have exposed the real face of Indian
democracy,” he added.
On the other hand, the Spokesman of Muslim League (ML) Jammu and
Kashmir, in a statement, condemned the illegal detention of the veteran
Kashmiri Hurriyet leader and the shifting of the Vice Chairman of the
party, Muhammad Yousuf Mir to Kot Balwal Jail by the occupation
authoraties.
The spokesman of Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islamai (TeW) Jammu and Kashmir, in a statement issued in Srinagar, slammed the slapping of the draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA) against pro-freedom leaders including Muhammad Yousuf Mir and Abdul Aziz Dar alias General Moosa, Flaying puppet authorities, he called their detention under PSA as
sheer political vengeance. “ The authorities have virtually turned the
occupied territory into a military camp to muzzle the just voice of
Kashmiri people,” he added.
