ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (APP): Japan on Saturday appreciated efforts of Pakistan against terrorism and economic reform and extended full support to it in all spheres.Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama in a message thanked Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on his felicitation and said Japan and Pakistan have traditionally enjoyed warm and friendly relations over the years.He said their bilateral relationship have been expanding through active bilateral cooperation in implementing counter measures against terrorism.
“Japan would like to express its respects for Pakistan’s efforts to implement the counter measures against terrorism and economic reform.”
He said “long-term stability in your country is the key to bringing peace and stability to the entire international community,” he said and extended Japan’s support to Pakistan to the fullest.
In another letter, the outgoing Prime Minister of Japan Taro Aso expressed his wholehearted gratitude to the government of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani for the support and cooperation extended during his tenure.
He said during his appointment as Prime Minister of Japan he did his utmost to promote relations between Japan and Pakistan to promote peace and prosperity.
He hoped that the relationship between the two countries will continue to develop further .
