ISLAMABAD, Oct 13 (APP): Minister for Defence Production Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi Tuesday said that international concerns on terrorism notwithstanding, Pakistan is combating the menace in its own interest.

Talking to a private television channel, the Minister said that menace of terrorism is posing danger to peaceful social life and the nation is united to eliminate it.

Jatoi said that it is a wrong impression that Pakistan was fighting the war of others.

He said that repeated terrorists acts have claimed the lives of so many innocent citizens adding in recent past the entire population of an area was compelled to live as refugees in their own country.

The terrorists have destroyed country’s image abroad he said adding economically the country was passing through a stress due to their activities.

Under such conditions it was imperative not only for the government but the entire nation to have control over the terrorists, he said.

To a question he said that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi during the second round of his US visit would try to negotiate some changes in the language of KLB.
