Lower Dir totally under control of law enforcing agencies: Rehman Malik |

ISLAMABAD, Apr 27 (APP):
Federal Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik said here on Monday that Lower Dir
was totally under the control of the law enforcing agencies. Replying to a question during a
conference on “IPR-Pakistan National Conference”, here, the minister said that
some attacks took place on law enforcing agencies by the militants, during past
48 hours in Buner.
In some villages, he added,
extremists have looted shops and tortured villagers forcing them to come out and
support Taliban and even a Jirga was forced to announce support for Taliban.
He said that government had
signed the agreement with Taliban to give peace a chance however, warned that if
it failed to bring peace the government would be forced to save lives and
properties of the people.
He said that government will
not tolerate the loss of property and lives of the people and protect them at
all cost.
