Bomb blast kills constable Faisal Khan |

ISLAMABAD, Mar 23 (APP):
Constable Faisal Khan embraced shahadat on Monday when he foiled the attempt of
an anonymous person trying to enter the Special Branch Lines located in Sitara
Market.
According to a Press Note
issued by the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, an unidentified
individual blew himself up when Duty Guard No. 2496 Constable Faisal Khan
stopped him from entering the Special Branch Lines.
A computer operator Muhammad
Karim Butt suffered minor injuries in the blast, it added.
Following is the text of the
Press Note:
“On March 23 An anonymous
individual tried to enter Special Branch Lines located in G7/2
near Sitara Market. The duty guard No.2496 Constable Faisal Khan tried to stop the
individual. On facing resistance by duty guard, the individual detonated
himself.
Resultantly, No.2496 Constable
Faisal Khan embraced Shahadat on spot and Computer Operator Muhammad Karim Butt
received minor injuries.
The rescue and relief services
immediately responded to the situation and reached the spot. The injured was
shifted to the Hospital at once.
FIR has been launched in Abpara
Police Station and further probe is being carried out.”
