7 Sri Lankan players among 19 injured in terrorist attack |

LAHORE, March 3
(APP): Nineteen persons were injured including seven Sri Lankan cricket players
when assailants opened fire at the team’s motorcade near Gaddafi stadium here
Tuesday morning. Two Sri Lankan
players—Thilan Samaraweera and Tharange Paranavitna received serious bullet
injuries and were rushed to the Services Hospital while Kumar Sangakkara,
Ajantha Mendis, Suranka Lakmal, Thilan Tunshara and Paul Frabrace English
Assistant Coach suffered minor injuries and were provided first aid at Qaddafi
Stadium.

Nine officials of
elite force and two workers of Rescue 1122 are: Muhammad Kafeel, Dilshad, Arshad
Ali, Muhammad Iqbal,Abdul Sami, Afzal,Jehangir, Ali Raza, Muhammad Nawaz, Zahid
Naeem, Usman and Ahsan Raza reserve empire. The injured were rushed to the
Services Hospital where their condition was stated to be out of danger.
