PESHAWAR, Nov 4 (APP): A security personnel was martyred and nine others injured when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a security-checkpost at Doaba in Hangu district on Tuesday morning.

An official of Doaba police station in whose jurisdiction the tragic incident occurred said the bomber targeted the recently established Sorpoul checkpost on Doaba_ Thall road around 9:30am. Resultantly, one security personnel identified as Haq Nawaz died on the spot while nine others sustained injuries, he added. The injured have been shifted to hospitals  where the condition of some of the wounded is stated to be critical.

District Nazim Hangu after the deadly attack declared emergency in district hospital Hangu while rescue work has been started, ambulances have been sent to the blast site.

SHO Doaba police station Sher Khan said that body parts of the bomber have been recovered from the place of explosion. He said it was a suicide attack.The security forces have cordoned off the entire area and started search for the miscreants involved in the attack. Security has been tightened and an emergency declared in the area.
