Pakistan not to allow external forces to violate its sovereignty: Defence Minister |

ISLAMABAD,
Sep 12 (APP): Federal Minister for Defence, Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar has said that
the Armed Forces are fully capable to meet any eventuality and safeguard the
country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He was
talking to newsmen during his visit to Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC),
Kamra Friday.
The Minister said the whole nation was standing
united behind the Armed Forces of the country and would show the same spirit of
sacrifices and heroism as was done is 1965 and 1971 wars. The Minister was also
accompanied by the Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Tanvir Mehmood Ahmed.
He
expressed the resolve that national frontiers of the country would be defended
at all cost and external forces would not be allowed to violate Pakistan’s
sovereignty.
Earlier, on
his arrival to PAC Headquarters, the Minister was received by Chairman PAC,
Kamra, Air Khalid Chaudhry. The Chairman gave a detailed presentation to the
Minister about the status of ongoing projects undertaken by PAC.
He also
briefed the Minister about the JF-17 Thunder Aircraft Project and particularly
highlighted its operational capability. The Minister visited various factories
including Mirage and F-6 Rebuild Factories,Chinese, Weaponry System and Avionics
and Reader Factories.
The
Minister was highly impressed by the achievements made by PAC Kamra toward
strengthening the Defence sector of the country. He lauded the efforts made by
the engineers and technicians in developing the country’s Defence industry.
