PESHAWAR, June 24 (APP): The local Taliban in Ghilji area of Orakzai Agency shot dead six alleged kidnappers on Tuesday after they refused to quit their anti social activities while in Swat the security forces killed a local Taliban commander and in Khyber Agency JI local leader was assassinated by unknown outlaws.

An official of Control Room of the political administration has confirmed the shooting of six alleged criminals by the local Taliban. Those who were shot dead by the Taliban firing squad included Sahar, Ghani Shah Mamozi, Ghani Badshah, Iqbal and Ghani Alikhel. The name of sixth criminal could not be ascertained.

The bodies of alleged kidnappers belonged to Orakzai Agency were found in Ghaljo bazaar. The Tliban killed the alleged criminals by firing squad after the expiry of the deadline given by to them by the Taliban to quit anti-social activities. The Taliban have abducted the culprits some two months back and the decision to shoot them by firing was taken the Taliban Shura last night.

In Swat indefinite curfew was imposed in Matta tehsil after the killing of a local Taliban commander during shootout with security forces and injured four others.

The official sources said that the militants had ambushed the convoy of security forces which was on routine patrolling in Matta tehsil. The Security forces started search operation against the militants in district Swat.

Meanwhile in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency member of Jammaat Islami FATA Maulana Rahim Gul was assassinated by unknown persons while he was asleep at his house. The Maulana died on the spot Sources said that unknown persons entered the house of Maulana Rahim and opened fire at him while he was sleeping. Maulana Rahim was died on the spot whose body has been sent to tehsil Landi Kotal.

Maulana Gul Rahim’s funeral prayer would be offered at his ancestral town Loi Shalman in Landi Kotal a five pm today (June 24).  Jammat Islami NWPF Chapter has strongly condemned the killing of their leader.
