Cricket: Rain delays Pakistan’s clash with Scotland
EDINBURGH, May 19, (APP/AFP) - Pakistan’s one-day international against Scotland was delayed on Sunday due to a waterlogged playing surface in Edinburgh. The umpires ordered a 1200GMT pitch inspection at the Grange after taking a close look at the wicket three times before the scheduled start of play. Heavy rain in the Scottish capital on Saturday left areas of the outfield sodden, while there were also worries about the condition of the wicket.

FBR Intelligence impounds 36 non-custom paid luxury vehicles PDF Print E-mail

PESHAWAR, May 14 (APP): Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Peshawar has impounded 36 expansive vehicles during its operation against non-custom duty paid cars plying in the city.

An official of FBR Intelligence informed APP that reports were received about plying of several heavy duty latest model luxury cars without payment of custom duties and bearing fake number plates.

The department launched a crackdown against non-custom paid vehicles and recovered 36 cars including a Mercedes 1995 model car, Nissan Safari Petrol Jeep, Five Land Cruisers, 12 Toyota Corolla cars, two Parado jeeps, three intercoolers and several other vehicles.

The official informed that the seized vehicles would now be sold out through holding public auction and the recovered money would be submitted in the national kitty under the head of Custom duty.
