Govt taking steps against terrorism, price-hike, unemployment: Dy Speaker NA |

PESHAWAR, April 20 (APP): Deputy Speaker in National Assembly, Faisal Karim Kundi said Sunday that government was working on broad based strategy to eliminate the menace of terrorism, control price hike and unemployment. Working developmental projects and programme will be possible only if peace and harmony prevailed in the country, he added. He was addressing a big public gathering at his constituency in Paharpur on Sunday.
He said that peace is vital for progress and prosperity of people and development of country in large. Mr Kundi said that peace and improving law and order is one of the major priority of the present regime. Fasial Karim Kundi said that provision of basic amenities of life to people at their door steps are one of the top priority of the PPP led government and all available resources will be utilized in this regard. Referring to the Prime Minister’s ambitious 100 days programme, Mr Kundi said that it is forward looking and targeted oriented programme saying as the government move forward its tickled down effect would start visible. He said that it is unfortunate that the past government had overlooked the development of DI Khan which has increased deprivation among people. He said that medium and long-term programmes of the present government will end their grievances. The Deputy speaker said that all public relief oriented projects would be completed on war footing. He urged the people to strengthen government in hands to bring less developed areas at par with developed parts of the country. He referred to various uplift projects launched by the PPP government in past. He assured that gas and electricity would be provided to people at their doorsteps |
