KARACHI, April 11 (APP): Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Husain has withdrawn his resignation as party head on the demand of party workers. Announcing his decision by telephone at party headquarters Nine Zero he sought the pledge from local MQM leadership that they will fulfill all of their responsibilities with dedication in future.
Earlier, MQM parliamentarians, Karachi Nazim and town nazims and other leaders also threatened to resign from their seats if party chief Altaf Husain did not withdraw his resignation.
Deputy Convener MQM Rabita Committee Dr Farooq Sattar while announcing the decision of local leadership at party head quarter said that they could not run the party without the leadership of Altaf Husain.
On this occasion, MQM workers also refused to leave party headquarters unless Altaf Husain withdrew his resignation.
