Cabinet committee approves regularization of 2000 employees of different Organizations PDF Print E-mail
ISLAMABAD, Sept 15, (APP): Cabinet sub-committee on regularization has approved to regularize the services of 2000 employees of Associated Press of Pakistan, Radio Pakistan ,Pakistan Television, National Highways Authority and Education department. The committee has directed the  ministries concerned and divisions to implement the decision immediately regarding regularization of 2000 contract, daily wages and intern employees of the organizations. The regularization committee met under the chairmanship of Federal Minister or Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah and was attended by Federal Minister,Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani,Federal Minister for  communication Arab Alamghir , MD APP ,Principal Information Officer, MD PTV, DG Radio, MD SNGPL,Secretary Establishment ,Secretary Capital Industry and Development Division and other officials of the  departments concerned.
The committee given the approval of regularization after reviewing the lists of the employees working in these organizations.
Addressing the meeting, chairman of the committee Syed Khurshid Shah informed that besides the regularization of these employees, the committee has also approved the budget for their salaries and allowances.
The meeting was also informed that employees of PTV and APP were working on contract and daily wages for the last ten years.
The decision would be applicable on all those employees who have completed their one-year by August 31 this year.
The chairman of the committee asked the statistics division, PEMRA, Commerce and other ministries for submitting the list of contract employees. 
Federal Minister Syed Khurshid Shah said that the Pakistan People’s Party(PPP) has always provided job opportunities for jobless people in the country as it was the vision of the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
He said the government was fulfilling its promise to regularize the employees in different organizations.
