LAHORE, Oct 31 (APP):The Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) conducted a series of successful operations across Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan over the past 24 hours, arresting nine notorious drug peddlers and recovering large quantities of narcotics, arms and a drone.
According to a spokesperson for Punjab CNF on Friday, four operations were carried out in Rawalpindi, three in Lahore, and two in Multan. The raids led to the recovery of six kilograms of hashish, two kilograms of heroin, one kilogram of opium, and 70 grams of ice. Additionally, 88 bottles of liquor and 10 intoxicating injections were confiscated.
The spokesperson said authorities also seized six pistols, an automatic rifle (AK-47), and a drone during the operations. The total value of narcotics recovered over the past two months exceeds Rs170 million, with more than 13 tons of drugs seized during this period, said spokesperson. He added that a significant number of drones used for narcotics smuggling have also been recovered.
