BAHAWALPUR, Oct 31 (APP): A key meeting on the Chief Minister of Punjab’s ‘Apni Zameen Apna Ghar’ scheme was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Muhammad Tayyab.
The session reviewed applications, eligibility, and the scrutiny process for the housing scheme. Present at the meeting were System Network Administrator, Azeem Zeeshan; Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur City Khalil Ahmed; Assistant Commissioner Bahawalpur Saddar Qurat-ul-Ain; Deputy Director FATA, Syed Hamid Hussain; and Focal Person “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar”, Hamad Al-Hanan. Assistant commissioners from the relevant tehsils also joined via video link.
Officials reported that 22,000 citizens have submitted applications for the scheme so far, of which 14,000 have been provisionally declared eligible. The meeting decided that all received applications will undergo full scrutiny and police verification to ensure transparency.
During scrutiny, teams will also verify that applicants do not own other property in their name and meet the scheme’s eligibility criteria. Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Muhammad Tayyab, directed officers to evaluate applications strictly on merit and to implement transparent and effective measures so that the public can fully benefit from the facility provided by the Government of Punjab.
