Advisor to CM for timely completion, operationalisation of NSIC

SARGODHA, Oct 22 (APP):Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister for Health, Major General (retd) Azhar Mahmood Kiani on Wednesday directed that all necessary steps be taken to ensure the timely completion and operationalization of the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology (NSIC).
He issued these directions while chairing a meeting to discuss the operationalization of the institute.
Punjab Health Secretary Azmat Mehmood, Director Development Bilal Hassan, Sargodha Medical College Principal Dr Afzal Farooq, MS DHQ Hospital and others were present in meeting.
The meeting reviewed the progress made in finalizing the administrative and technical aspects of the institute.
Discussions were held on procuring necessary equipment, staff recruitment, and other essential matters.
Kiani emphasized that the Punjab government is keen to see this project completed and operationalized as soon as possible, providing relief to cardiac patients in the region.
The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to providing quality healthcare services to the people of Punjab.
The institute’s operationalization will provide relief to cardiac patients who currently have to travel to Lahore or other cities for treatment.
