ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 11 suspects during a recent crackdown aimed at ensuring citizens’ safety and curbing criminal activity across the federal capital.
An official told APP on Wednesday that police teams from Noon, Industrial Area, Humak, and Shahzad Town police stations apprehended six accused and recovered 1,131 grams of hashish, 120 grams of heroin, 120 grams of ice, two pistols, and one gun with ammunition from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the arrested individuals, and further investigations are underway. Additionally, during a special campaign to apprehend absconders and proclaimed offenders, five criminals were also arrested.
SSP Operations Islamabad stated that ICT Police are committed to protecting citizens’ lives and property, maintaining law and order, and eliminating criminal elements.
“No one will be allowed to disturb the peace of the city,” he said, adding that citizens’ safety and security remain the top priorities of Islamabad Police.
